Le Manoir de Lébioles a majestic Hotel 5* in the middle of the forest in the Ardennes region of Belgium. The estate is breathtakingly beautiful. The building itself has a strong character and a cinematic atmosphere. Watch our video filmed on location to get a feel for the atmosphere.

Our experience

We've had the opportunity to stay here twice. During our first stay, we were in Room No. 1, which has a bathtub. It's the first room on the left on the first floor. It offers a view of the estate's entrance.

During our second stay, we were in Room 7, which had very unique wallpaper (it looked a bit like a cabinet of curiosities) and a lovely view of the back of the estate. The bathroom was very nice.

We enjoyed our first stay and absolutely loved our second one, following the renovations carried out during the winter of 2026. The dining experience has improved significantly. As for the decor, it was redesigned by interior designer Lucia Esteves. She made some very bold choices that won’t necessarily appeal to everyone, but which we fully endorse.

The Magical Arrival at the Manor

It’s around a bend in a country road winding through the forest that you’ll discover the manor. It appears in the distance, at first very small and then much larger... It’s magical, especially at sunset or when there’s fog. It’s like a huge ship floating above the clouds. Park your car in the parking lot and push open the large front door. You’ve arrived.

The team speaks fluent French, Dutch, German and English. We are in constant contact with the Director, Florian, who speaks all 4 languages.

The lobby is our favorite part of the hotel, and we love settling into the sofa to enjoy the roaring fire in the fireplace.

The motto inscribed on the establishment's coat of arms perfectly reflects the house's philosophy:"Plus Valet Quam Lucet", which means"To be rather than to appear", and that's exactly what it is. Luxury is always discreet, but always present.

Unique Rooms

There are 16 luxurious rooms and suites ranging in size from 30 to 75 m², and each one is completely unique, with its own color scheme. Nearly all of the rooms have a bathtub.

Some of our favorite rooms:

1 • Classic Room • PhotoPhoto
2 • Castellane Suite • PhotoPhoto
3 • Manor Suite • PhotoPhoto
4 • Royal Suite • PhotoPhoto
5 • Imperial Suite • PhotoPhoto

If you're celebrating a special occasion, the Imperial Suite is the most spectacular... Wow. It's Suite No. 2.

If you have a specific room in mind, feel free to call the Manoir directly or send an email. Let us know your preferences and ask the staff to recommend the best room for you. Each room is truly one-of-a-kind, and this can make a real difference in the quality of your stay.

Tip: If possible, ask for a room in the main building rather than in the annexes. It's a matter of personal preference.

Depending on your choice, you’ll enjoy the following amenities: a king- or queen-size bed, a view of the Ardennes, the castle’s historic courtyard, or the garden; a bathroom with a shower and a freestanding bathtub; a sitting area; a fireplace; a Smart TV; a minibar; a coffee maker; a kettle and tea; air conditioning; and a safe.

Catering

In the evening, when night falls and the manor is lit up, head to the hotel restaurant for a special experience. We recommend making a reservation as early as possible, preferably on a weekday. Ask for the table in the back, near the window—it’s the best one.

We tried the five-course menu during our second stay, and honestly, it was flawless. Special mention goes to our server, Geoffrey—he was funny and charismatic.

The new chef, Thomas Ducroquet, has extensive experience: Lameloise in Chagny (three Michelin stars), Le Bristol in Paris, the Royal Champagne, l’Apogée in Courchevel, and Château Saint-Martin in Vence. At Lébioles, he creates signature cuisine where technique never overshadows emotion. His dishes tell the story of the Ardennes without ever being confined to it, driven by a passion for locally sourced ingredients and seasonal flavors.

Note: We'll let you be surprised by what the restaurant's restrooms look like. They're futuristic and truly surprising—in a good way. Here's a photo if you'd like to get a sneak peek.

In the morning, a delicious breakfast is served in the dining room... It's so good. What an improvement from our first stay. It was excellent. Our favorites: caramel French toast, cinnamon cake, pancakes, cookies, herring, and freshly squeezed orange juice.

The spa

During the day, the spa is, of course, a must-visit. It’s the only Valmont spa in Belgium. The architecture of the thermal treatment area is designed around the four elements: water, air, fire, and earth. Facilities include a large heated indoor pool, a sauna, a steam room, an ice fountain, a foot bath, an aromatherapy shower, a lounge with an open fireplace, and a fitness center.

If you'd like to extend this relaxing experience, we also offer a wonderful selection of treatments and skincare products. The couples' treatment rooms let you enjoy them with your partner.

A Few Tips for Making the Most of It

- We recommend choosing dates between Sunday and Thursday. The hotel is quieter then, and the staff can focus entirely on you.
- If you’re staying at the manor on Saturday night, try to get up early on Sunday to enjoy the spa in peace and quiet. But the spa is also very beautiful in the evening—the choice is yours.
- Check-in is at 3:00 p.m., but you’re welcome to arrive as early as 10:00 a.m. and enjoy the spa, the restaurant, and the fire near the front desk.
- Your reservation is cancellable without charge if you cancel at least 5 days before your arrival date.
- If you’re planning a surprise or celebrating a special occasion, know that anything is possible and that the staff is happy to help. They’re used to it and love personalizing every reservation.
- Want to discover a secret spot to work or make a phone call in peace? Go up the stairs near the front desk and open the first door on the first floor. It’s a sort of secret room with a large wooden table. It’s easy to imagine a clandestine poker game taking place here.

A treasure in the heart of the Ardennes

Le Manoir de Lébioles located in Spa, Wallonia, deep in the forest. It’s truly secluded, surrounded by nature.

As a bit of trivia, this hotel was chosen by actor Brad Pitt in July 2024 during his stay in Belgium. He was filming a few scenes at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit for the movie "F1," directed by Joseph Kosinski. They stayed in the Imperial Suite, which costs around €600 per night on weekdays.

Spa, one of the world’s most famous spa towns, is just a 10-minute drive away. The town is well worth a visit and exudes early 19th-century charm. We also really like Stavelot. Finally, the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit is a 20-minute drive away.

Not far away, we had the opportunity to discover the Charmille du Haut Marêt, and it was a real "coup de coeur". It's a 600-meter walkway covered with branches that form a veritable canopy of vegetation. It's a magnificent place in any season, and the longest walk of its kind in Europe.
