Our stay
We were lucky enough to stay here for one night. The weather was exceptional... What luck! The light was golden and pure. We also wanted to get up at 5 a.m. to see the sky on fire. All the photos you see above are ours.
What we liked best: the incredible sense of detail throughout the cabin, the very clear and careful communication, the quality of the food and especially the pesto, the total privacy throughout the stay, the Nordic bath and the cinematographic location. We really loved the place.
The owners, Marie-Catherine and Nicolas, are unobtrusive but very responsive. They live nearby but never disturb you. They speak French, Dutch, English, and Spanish.
Your privacy is totally respected: the vegetable garden is entirely private during your stay, you enter the hut on your own and you won't bump into anyone else if you wish. There's a private parking lot just inside the entrance to the garden.
The philosophy of the place can be summarized as follows: to do little but well, beautiful and good. This translates into cultivation on small surfaces, breeding on a human scale and a respect for nature. All the food and materials are local and favor the short circuit.
The kitchen garden in which you stay is a fruit and vegetable production area. No chemicals are used. The very light tilling of the soil is done entirely by hand. Take a look at this drawing of the kitchen garden by a Belgian artist.
The cabin with a Nordic sauna
The cabin has a surface area of 40m², a queen-size bed by Belgian brand Kalani home, a duo bath, a very comfortable sofa, a wood-burning stove, Belgian sheets, Belgian soap and Bobone shampoo. The interior decoration has been done with great care, and we really like it! It feels a bit like an old American movie in the country.
When it rains or snows, it's very cocooning: the wood stove is glazed with visible flames, pleasant underfloor heating, plaids available, boots to walk outside, tap against the wall of the vegetable garden to wash your boots, Bluetooth speaker, candles on the table, several board games and a few books.
Outside, you can enjoy a private terrace, a fire pit area, and a Nordic bath accessible all year round. It's especially pleasant in winter! We tried out the Nordic bath and it was a magical experience. All you can hear are the birds, cows, sheep, and horses. An educational tour of the entirely private vegetable garden is available if you wish during your stay.
Dining options
All meals are prepared using produce from the garden. The optional breakfast is brought to you in the morning, without disturbing you. On the menu: delicious breads made by the local baker using organic grains from the region, organic Belgian pastries, homemade jams made with fruit from the garden, fruit from the orchard, eggs from the estate’s chickens, yogurt and butter from a nearby farm, and Chorti organic coffee. A real treat!
An optional evening meal is also available. It will be waiting for you in the cool cabin when you arrive. Prepare yourself for a real taste experience, including a starter based on vegetables from the garden, a plancha with tasty home-made burgers to suit your tastes, a dessert from a local artisan and your choice of red or white wine.
If you look at the coffee table in the living room, you will discover farm products to buy: artisanal bolognese sauce, chili con carne, homemade tomato coulis, mint syrup or Condroz flower honey in particular. Choose what you like and pay directly online. All the instructions are indicated in a small booklet placed on the table.

During your stay, there are many activities available. An educational tour is possible in the vegetable garden. Many walks are possible in the surroundings and you can also rent electric bikes to explore the Condroz region even more. The Château de Leignon is nearby and Dînant is a 15 minute drive away.
