Here are our favorite places to stay for a weekend getaway near Brussels (we've tried them all)

In less than 2 hours, you can reach Bruges, Ghent, the Ardennes, the Hautes Fagnes, or even the Belgian coast. That’s one of Belgium’s greatest advantages: if you head out after work, you can quickly find yourself in a completely different setting. At Let’s Go My Love, we love discovering these easy-to-plan getaways.
Head to the countryside or the Ardennes to find the most unique places to stay: treehouses, tiny houses, bubble tents, and small cabins tucked away in nature. Some also offer a private hot tub or a Nordic bath. For a one-night stay, we recommend staying within about a 1.5-hour drive.
The Ardennes and the Hautes Fagnes are our first choices when we really want to unwind. But you can also find unique lodging in much lesser-known corners of Wallonia and Flanders. Once you’re there, the itinerary can be very simple: hike, eat well, and enjoy the silence.
Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, Leuven, and Liège are all easily accessible by train from Brussels. For a romantic weekend, choose accommodations near the city center or the train station and explore everything on foot. Bruges is especially pleasant when you can enjoy the city early in the morning and after the crowds have left.
There are many unique suites and accommodations with private hot tubs less than 2 hours from Brussels. During our research and visits for Let's Go My Love, we prioritize places where the wellness area is truly private and an integral part of the experience, rather than just a shared spa facility.
Choose Bruges if you’re in the mood for restaurants, charming streets, and long walks together. Choose the Ardennes if your idea of the perfect weekend involves a cabin, a wood-burning fire, and a hot tub in the middle of nowhere. Either way, you’ll really feel like you’ve left Brussels behind.
