Our on-site experience

We had the opportunity to spend a beautiful night in the Cabane du Moulin. Watch our video to get a glimpse of the magic on site. The estate is impeccably maintained. Here's what we also liked: the change of scenery, the sauna by the river, the privacy of each accommodation and the comfort of the facilities.

On site, Michael, the owner, offers you a warm welcome. He speaks French and a little Dutch, and is particularly warm, friendly and professional. We're in constant contact with him; he's a real enthusiast and does everything he can to ensure that your experience is perfect. His sense of humor clearly adds an extra touch to the experience.

All accommodations have a private Jacuzzi that can be used all year round at no extra charge. It is heated to 37.2° throughout the day and into the evening.

Not sure which one to choose? The difference between the cabins and the bubbles is that the Fisherman’s Cabin and the Mill Cabin feature a private bathroom and a small kitchen. But the Water Bubble and Meadow Bubble have the advantage of offering a stunning view of the surrounding nature. And they’re a little less expensive. All four accommodations have running water and electricity but do not have Wi-Fi.

A charming location

Le Moulin des Saules located in a small, peaceful town between Wavre and Hannut.

Just a 10-minute drive away, the village of Mélin is one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia. What makes the village unique is its stone: Gobertange stone, which has been used for centuries in grand monuments such as Brussels’ Grand Place.

Once there, you can take a 3-kilometer walk through the cobblestone streets, follow the Gobertange stream with its ponds and wrought-iron bridges, and admire the stone farmhouses and the Church Notre-Dame the Visitation.

A short drive away—less than 30 minutes by car—lies Villers Abbey, a magnificent Cistercian abbey and arguably the most beautiful in Belgium. It’s a magical place where you can stroll, daydream, reminisce, and look ahead. The small herb garden is particularly charming.
