Ecau Lodge is a fantastic natural estate with 16 comfortable lodges located in Écaussinnes, between Mons and Brussels, 30 minutes from Pairi Daiza in Belgium. Rates

Prices start at €119 per night for 2 people, with a sliding scale if you stay longer. No hidden costs like sheets, towels or cleaning: everything is included.

Some practical information

When you arrive, there is always someone there to welcome you and even show you around the lodge if you wish. Communication is possible in French, Dutch, or English.

Free secure parking is available. There is space for one car per lodge.

Dogs are allowed for a small additional fee of €14. Please remember to mention that you will be bringing your pet when you make your reservation.

To preserve wildlife and limit light pollution, the paths leading to the lodges and the estate in general are deliberately dimly lit. A flashlight is available to guide you if needed.

There are 16 lodges on the estate, built entirely of wood. What we particularly like is that each lodge has its own covered terrace overlooking a different part of the estate, so your privacy is always respected.

The equipment

Depending on the lodge you choose, you'll have the following facilities at your disposal: bedroom with occasional bath (and balls for the bath), king-size bed, kitchenette, bathroom with shower, toilet, sitting area, pellet stove, plaids if it's a bit chilly, covered outdoor terrace and Norwegian bath in one of the lodges. Note: there is no wifi.

For lodges with a Norwegian bath (hot tub): allow 3 to 4 hours for the water to reach the right temperature. We therefore recommend that you turn on the heater From upon arrival so you can fully enjoy it in the evening. Don’t worry—everything is explained on site, and firewood is provided for you to keep the fire going.

Dine in

In the morning, it's a real pleasure to wake up to the croaking of frogs and the chirping of birds, especially when you're used to living in a noisy place. Here, everything is quiet and pleasant.

There is no breakfast basket provided, but there are many high-quality shops in the surrounding area.

If you would like to have a barbecue, the fire pit/petanque area is at your disposal. Remember to bring everything you need. As all the structures are made of wood, it is important to make sure that the embers are completely extinguished after use.

Just a short distance from Pairi Daiza

Ecau Lodge is located in Hainaut, in Écaussinnes, the “City of Love.” Don’t miss Pairi Daiza, about 30 minutes away, which has been voted the best zoo in Europe several times. The region is full of things to do. We recommend visiting Seneffe Castle and its beautifully maintained wooded park, which is free to enter. There is an admission fee to tour the castle (From 5€), but it’s well worth the visit.
