Les Repères de Basseilles are 2 spheres with panoramic views located in the countryside of Mozet, a 20-minute drive from Namur in Belgium. The setting is breathtaking: on the edge of a wood, with no nearby neighbors. You're on the estate of the romantic Ferme de Basseilles. It's a bit like being in Tuscany. Celebrating a birthday? If you book from Sunday to Thursday and your birthday takes place during your stay, you'll receive a surprise decoration in the sphere + 2 large slices of chocolate cake (génoise) free of charge. Once you've made your reservation, simply send a photo of your ID card to Léa (who handles reservations) by e-mail and/or Whatsapp. Subject to confirmation.

We had the chance to visit the 2 landmarks during the day, while chatting with the owners and walking around the estate. The place is authentic (our on-site video) and just super pleasant.

On the morning of your arrival day, you'll receive all your booking details by SMS. Arrival is completely autonomous. You can arrive as early as 5pm. If you have any concerns, the team is practically always on hand at the farm, and Léa can always be reached.

You can choose between 2 homes: le Dôme des Libellules and La Bulle du Ruisseau. If you take a look at the photos above, you'll see which unit you're looking at.

Le Dôme des Libellules includes the following facilities: king-size bed with heated mattress if required, comfortable armchair, auxiliary heating, coffee machine with capsules supplied, kettle, private outdoor terrace, brazier for making an open fire (or cooking on the plancha supplied) and small secluded cabin with dry toilet and refreshment facilities. Sheets and towels available.

La Bulle du Ruisseau lies between land and water. It includes the following facilities: a Crusoe armchair, a chic table with 2 chairs, a king-size bed with heated mattress, a coffee maker with 4 capsules per night and a small indoor area with a dry toilet and refreshments. A private outdoor garden is at your disposal, with a small sitting area, table, chairs and brazier. Perfect for building a fire or cooking with the plancha.

If you like a hot shower in the morning, you can use the one in the private wellness area. Don't forget to ask when you book. There's no extra charge.

This private wellness area, located around 200 meters from the spheres, is available as an optional extra. Facilities include outdoor Jacuzzi, sauna, Nordic bucket and shower. Self-service bathrobes and slippers. In fine weather, you can also take a stroll in the farm's vegetable garden.

Les Repères de Basseilles are ideally located near Gesves, about 20 minutes from Namur in Wallonia. If you'd like to explore the surrounding area, we suggest a visit to the Grottes de Goyet, a rare and protected underground heritage site housing one of Europe's most prestigious prehistoric sites.

To eat nearby, we liked Restaurant Nous, just a few minutes' drive away: very tasty dishes and a top-notch team. The second night, we opted for a Netflix evening and tried Le Couscoussier via Uber Eats: very, very good!
