We had the opportunity to visit the hotel for several hours, while using the drone outside. Romane welcomed us with a big smile.
The hotel's main attraction is, of course, its breathtaking panorama. And this panorama is visible from almost everywhere: the restaurant, the outdoor terrace, the unusual accommodations, the panoramic rooms and even the heated indoor pool in the private spa.
Here are the accommodations (+ our opinion each time):
1. The Tiny House (from 170€): we really like this tiny because it's well away from the hotel and the parking lot, right at the entrance to the forest. The interior decor is feminine and floral. It has air-conditioning and an intimate terrace overlooking the valley.
2. Le Lodge Panoramique (from 230€): the lodge is also located away from the hotel, closer to the parking lot than the tiny and therefore a little less intimate. The decor is ethnic chic and very successful. You'll enjoy a two-poster bed with a view over the valley, a whirlpool bath and a small private terrace.
3. La Next (from 320€): this suite is one of our favorites. It's the perfect blend of luxury and the unusual. What we liked here: the room's stylish decor, the location away from the hotel, the private terrace with breathtaking views over the valley, the vintage bathtub in the bathroom, the unusual sphere on the roof in which you can sleep when the weather's fine, and the 90 minutes included in the hotel's private wellness area with 45°C hammam and heated pool.
4. La Sphai'Érique Forestière (from €230): one of the hotel's 7 traditional rooms with panoramic views and lush green decor. When the weather's fine, you can also sleep in the unusual rooftop sphere connected to the room. A good compromise between comfort and the unusual. This can be an excellent choice if you're a couple with children: you sleep in the room while your children sleep in the sphere.
5. Panoramic Rooms (from €170): these are the hotel's traditional rooms, located in the main building. Some are even complete suites. Each room has its own theme, often linked to nature: mineral, vegetable or woody, for example. We've fallen in love with the Chambre Florale. The view from the bed is magnificent.
6. The Wellness Cottage (from 260€): this is a detached mountain cottage located in the forest about 200 meters from the hotel. We didn't visit it, but it looks very nice. Features include a whirlpool bath, infrared sauna and private garden.
7. Le Pavillon d'Ô (from 260€): this is an authentic self-catering cottage located around 750 meters from the hotel. Ditto, we didn't visit it, but we'll be back soon. Facilities include panoramic open-air Jacuzzi, private garden with barbecue, bedroom, living room, bathroom, fully-equipped kitchen and sauna.
Every morning, a delicious breakfast is served between 9 and 10 a.m. in the dining room or on the outdoor terrace with panoramic views over the valley. On the menu: eggs (scrambled, fried or soft-boiled), pastries, fresh bread, jam, butter, cheeses, cold meats, fruit, various juices, tea and coffee.
During the day, treat yourself to a moment of relaxation in the hotel's panoramic wellness center. Access is private and reserved for hotel guests only. Depending on the accommodation you have booked, a slot may already be included. Prices start at €120 for 2 hours. On the program: heated pool with splendid views, 45°C hammam and soothing lounge music.
For your meals, the restaurant is a must. You can have just a drink, eat à la carte or choose from a delicious menu. Dogs are allowed. Celebrating a special occasion as a couple? Let us know on the spot so we can personalize your dessert. Try the peanut sauce chicken breast, it's really good! Spectacular terrace when the weather's nice, and friendly staff.
The hotel is located at an altitude of 262 meters, on the heights of Profondeville, between Namur and Dinant. Its unique location is officially recognized as a topographical viewpoint over the Mosane valley. It's the only place in Belgium where you can observe the 7 furrows followed by the Meuse, historically considered Europe's oldest river!
