Éclipsez-vous is a unique bed-and-breakfast located in Warisoulx, just 15 minutes from Namur. It’s a one-of-a-kind spot in Belgium featuring several wellness suites, a swimming pool, an outdoor hot tub, and Professor Hector as the conductor. Watch this video for a sneak peek.
Warning before continuing
Look at just a few photos and read just a little bit about this place if you want to preserve the joy of discovery. We recommend skimming through the text below. Just take note of the Let's Go My Love perk (the pool is included) and our tips further down. But that's it. If you want to keep reading anyway: we're intentionally keeping the details to a minimum.
Special offer
Mention "Let's Go My Love" when booking on our partner's official website to enjoy exclusive access to the pool and outdoor hot tub for two hours. Check out this image to see where to enter the code.
Our on-site visit
We had the opportunity to tour the entire house and talk at length with the professor’s loyal assistant, David. It’s very difficult to describe this veritable laboratory of the imagination, as we don’t want to spoil the surprise for you. To put it simply: Éclipsez-vous is a mix of a bed-and-breakfast, a spa, and an escape room.
The online reviews are overwhelmingly positive: 5 out of 5 stars and more than 50 reviews.
Have you seen the movie *The Game* starring Michael Douglas, in which he takes part in a mysterious real-life game? Do you like the idea of losing track of reality? Russian nesting dolls? Then book a stay right away—or give it as a gift.
On-site arrival
As you arrive, you’ll see a simple, unassuming house in the distance. The dead-end street leads you to a one-hectare property surrounded by fields and meadows where the local “jet set”—cows, donkeys, and chickens, among others—roam freely.
David is there to welcome you and check you in. He is incredibly kind and always goes out of his way to provide little extras whenever he can to make your stay even more perfect.
Professor Hector has dedicated his life to observing and studying Amerous lepidoptera—butterflies that emerge from the attraction between two people. To study these butterflies, he has managed to make them visible for a brief moment. He is also the creator of numerous inventions that you can discover during your stay. A sage among sages.
The suites
There are four suites, and choosing the right one is very important. Depending on which suite you choose, you can enjoy a traditional wellness experience or a much more immersive one.
Here are the sequels, from the most classic to the craziest:
1. La Huitante: This is the wellness suite to choose if you’d rather relax without playing (no escape games) (starting at €180 per night)
2. L'Émergence: Here you are in the heart of the Professor’s laboratory (starting at €320 per night) (this is the largest suite and the best equipped in terms of wellness amenities)
3. Le Pigeonnier: a place that holds many secrets when you look closely (you’ve been here before, but you don’t remember) (starting at €220 per night)
4. La Teuf Teuf Club: Delve into the depths of your subconscious (a pure dream from start to finish) (from €220 per night)
Breakfast is always included and is served in the lounge, near the front desk.
What we really love: despite the place’s unconventional vibe, the finishes are luxurious and meticulously crafted. It’s poetic, but not over the top. And it offers every comfort.
The extras
- Three-course dinner with a bottle of wine included (approx. €120 for two people)
- Bottle of champagne (€50)
- Two-hour private session at the spa with indoor pool and outdoor hot tub (€80 for two people) (included if you mention Let's Go My Love)
- Massages are available (upon request)
Our must-read tips
- Book the suite that appeals to you most, without looking at the photos. Don’t forget to specify your preferred time slot for access to the private spa. Better yet: send an email, provide your dates, share your preferences, and ask David to choose the suite for you.
- Don't speak French? Be warned: you'll miss out on a lot of the experience. Try to come with someone who speaks French. You can, of course, still make a reservation, but please mention this when booking and expect not to understand much of what's going on.
- If you want to surprise your partner without revealing the destination, make the reservation and let David know that you want to keep it a surprise until the last minute. He’ll get back to you with several ideas. If you have any ideas of your own, feel free to share them with him.
- Here’s a fun idea: don’t tell your partner in advance, and “accidentally” stop by the house that very day. Or pretend you’re just taking a drive around the neighborhood, hiding the suitcase in the trunk. Let David know ahead of time so he can act the part when you arrive.
- Why not treat another couple you know to a stay? Just keep one key detail a secret: you’ve actually booked another suite for yourselves on the same day. And your friends might be pleasantly surprised to find you somewhere in the house during their stay—without ever expecting it.
In a residential neighborhood
The house is located in the heart of Warisoulx, a small, lush village whose name alone is enough to pique your curiosity. If you’re planning a stroll through Namur, be sure to take precautions: there are no designated parking spots for flying saucers.
We really like Namur and its charming small-town atmosphere. Things to do include visiting the Citadel overlooking the city, the Félicien Rops Museum, taking the cable car, and going on a boat ride on the Meuse, the river that runs through the city.

If you love escape games, puzzles, movies, and immersive experiences: go for it! If you’re more of a traditionalist, the place is still genuinely pleasant, but we recommend booking “La Huitante” since it’s the only room available immediately, without an escape game. The online reviews are unanimously positive: 5 out of 5 and over 50 reviews. Don’t read them so you don’t spoil the surprise.
Rates start at around €180 per night for two people during the week, including breakfast. If you book the most expensive suite for the weekend, with dinner included, the price can go up to €470 per night.
