La Villa Tri Men is a postcard-perfect 4* hotel in Combrit Sainte Marine, South Finistère, Brittany, France. The place looks like something out of a dream: a large family home, a peaceful garden where you can watch the boats sail past the lighthouse, and a tiny fishing port...

Our stay
We were lucky enough to stay here. We highly recommend room number 1, which is a deluxe room. When you enter the hotel, it's the room at the end of the corridor on your left. It's perfectly soundproofed and offers an unforgettable view, especially in autumn. Room 7 is also well worth a visit, with its view of Bénodet harbor.
A place full of charm
For the record, this typically bourgeois house was built in 1913 by a Breton admiral. It had all the hallmarks of a fine Atlantic residence. A postcard of the period has been found. In 1975, it was transformed into a vacation camp for the children of the Peugeot company, before becoming a full-fledged hotel in 2023.
The arrival
Once there, it's hard not to fall under its spell. The 3-storey house is hidden among the trees. Note in particular the granite facade, the fir-green wooden shutters and the typically Breton slate roof. It's no surprise that the hotel has been selected by the Michelin Guide.
The rooms
There are 19 rooms in total. Each room is bathed in light and offers a view of the sea through the pine trees or of the garden.
Depending on your choice, you will enjoy the following amenities: king-size bed, bed linen from Tissages Denantes, bathroom with bathtub or shower, Nuxe toiletries, bathrobes, Nespresso coffee machine with capsules provided, flat-screen TV, and Wi-Fi connection.
The Michelin-starred restaurant
In the evening, we recommend reserving a table at the Michelin-starred restaurant Les Trois Rochers. Chef Frédéric Claquin and his team offer sincere seafood cuisine: pan-fried abalone, ravioli of Guilvinec langoustines or seaside artichokes. And if you fancy something a little more relaxed, try your luck at Bistrot du Bac, just off the harbour. Simple, generous local cuisine.
Location
La Villa Tri Men is ideally situated on the banks of the Odet, a coastal river. Sainte Marine is a small harbor full of charm, between wild nature, magnificent beaches and local culture. Nearby attractions include the Glénan archipelago, a place of enchanting scenery, the Bénodet marina, the return of the Guilvinec fishing boats in the late afternoon, Quimper, Concarneau and Pont-Aven.
We've got 2 more tips for you: in the evening, go and enjoy a Breton plank at Café de La Cale on the port with a glass of white wine or beer. Great atmosphere and good music, including a virtually unknown Breton song we discovered there. And if you're in Quimper, try Au chaudron des thés near Cathédrale Saint-Corentin for the best cappuccino in town!
