Le Manoir de Lan Kerellec is a discreet, authentic 4* hotel nestled on a cliff in Trébeurden, on the Côte de Granit Rose, in Brittany, France. Surrounded by the sea, this former 19th-century family home welcomes you to a marine setting of rare elegance. You'll feel the liveliness of the fresh air and the emotion of vacation.
We advise you to book your stay at Manoir de Lan Kerellec via Booking.com, which often offers free cancellation. Send us a postcard if you go, we'd love to hear from you.
We stayed in Trébeurden for 4 weeks. We quickly fell in love with this charming seaside resort, and in particular with Tresmeur beach, where the hotel provides free beach cabins right on the seafront.
The hotel has been awarded 1 Clef by the Michelin Guide, which is always a good sign if you're looking for a memorable stay.
French painter Pierre Gervais had the manor built around 1900. In 1925, the Daubé family bought it, and in 1968 the family home became a hotel. This old map postcard shows the view from the manor at the time.
Pauline Daubé, the current manager, represents the 4th generation of the family. She lived in the hotel throughout her childhood, with many memories: the smell of apple pies prepared by the head pastry chef, her grandmother Mamina, vacations spent washing dishes with friends, Christmas Eves and games of hide-and-seek under the white cloth-covered furniture...
There are 18 rooms on site, almost all with sea views. We love the decor, sometimes classic, sometimes bold: deep powder-pink velvet seats, Louis XVI chairs upholstered in leopard print, sky-blue linen drapes or antique walnut chests of drawers. The pink of the drapes and armchairs blends perfectly with the thick hydrangea beds and coastal granite.
Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: king-size bed, milky marble bathroom with shower and/or bathtub, Clarins skin care products, air conditioning and private balcony or terrace. We recommend the ground-floor or 1st-floor rooms, which are bathed in light and feature a private south-facing terrace.
For your meals, don't miss starred chef Anthony Avoine's gourmet restaurant. It's housed in the former painting studio of Pauline's grandfather, Emile Daubé. The dining room opens out onto the sea (see this video on TikTok) and boasts a superb inverted ship's hull frame. If possible, ask for a table near the monumental fireplace.
On your plate, creative, highly refined seafood cuisine with the scent of the open sea. A star ingredient? Lobster, without a doubt... We also recommend the apricot desserts made by the very talented pastry chef who is part of the team.
Throughout the day, admire the spectacle offered by the tides: when the sea retreats, it reveals stretches of sand and rocks in an almost lunar landscape. At high tide, the sea alone takes center stage, majestically invading the whole space and inciting reverie. In the distance, contemplate the wild islands of Molène, Milliau and Losquet. Magical, especially at sunset! A veritable ballet of watercolours.
The hotel is located in Trebeurden, in the French department of Côtes-d'Armor. The air is pure and invigorating. There are 5 beaches in the vicinity, all facing south or south-west. If you're in the mood for a long walk, we recommend the Ile de Milliau (when the sea recedes) or the complete tour of Ile-Grande. Another must: the Ploumanac'h lighthouse and its famous pink rocks.
We're a young team whose mission is to find the most beautiful places for a romantic escape. It could be a secret hotel, a unique hideway or a cabin in the woods, for example. Our blog is already home to over 300 exceptional spots in a rare collection. Follow us on Instagram and TikTok if you like this content, and enjoy your visit.
