Our 5 days here
We had the pleasure of spending 5 nights at La Maison Pavie. We loved everything about it, especially Ghislain's welcome. Passionate about his job and with a wealth of experience in the tourism industry, he is kind, cultured and very jovial. Class Breton style.
A house with influences from around the world
Maison Pavie takes its name from one of its illustrious visitors: Auguste Pavie, a great French traveller. From 1872 to 1895, Auguste Pavie traveled throughout Siam and Indochina, from Vietnam to Laos, via Angkor and Saigon. Initially a telegraph officer, he later became an explorer, ethnologist and photographer of the banks of the Mekong River.
Once inside, you'll discover a place full of character. Echoing the life of Auguste Pavie, travel and Indochina in the last century inspired the interior design: the choice of materials and colors, the design of the furniture and the use of crockery and fabrics. The medieval origins are still visible, notably the granite slabs on the entrance floor and the cob walls of the 3rd-floor staircase.

Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: top-of-the-range king-size bed, private bathroom with bathtub and/or shower, luxury hospitality products, exposed beams, old fireplace, solid parquet flooring and a view of Saint-Sauveur Basilica or the flower-filled garden to the rear.
Breakfast
Every morning, a generous breakfast is served in the dining room, also on the first floor. On the menu: fresh bread, pastries, butter croissants, artisanal jams, cheeses from the Julien cheese shop in Dinan, eggs prepared to order by Ghislain, Breton galettes, homemade cake, freshly squeezed fruit juice, coffee, tea, and many other delicious treats.
A living room with a breathtaking view
The shared lounge on the first floor offers a charming haven of relaxation. Its antique wood paneling and soft curves create an elegant, soothing, and warm space. Bathed in light from its three tall windows, it offers one of the most remarkable views of the Basilica of Saint-Sauveur. The armchairs from Gervasoni are the perfect place to sit down for a drink or a quiet read.
