An impressionist hotel
In the early 20th century, the building was the second home of a Breton noble family. It was not until the 1930s that it became a hotel in its own right. It was here that French painter Monet produced his famous painting "Les Aiguilles de Port Coton", one of some forty canvases. Some of these are among the finest of the Impressionist movement!
Arrival by boat
The hotel is only accessible by boat. You can take the boat from Quiberon, via Compagnie Océane. The crossing takes around 45 minutes. Once on the island, a shuttle service will take you to the hotel and back to the boat at the end of your stay. This service is offered free of charge, which is very much appreciated.
