Le Domaine du Treuscoat is a beautiful natural estate in Pleyber-Christ, Finistère, Brittany, France. There are 13 unusual accommodations where you can spend the night, including majestic tree houses. It's a little paradise if you like to recharge your batteries in the middle of nature.
In 2016, this estate surrounding a 15th-century manor house was bought by Erwan and Isabelle. At the time, they had just returned from Scotland, where they had worked for over 10 years, he in tech, she in finance. For the Plouigneau natives, the project to build an unusual estate was an opportunity to return to their roots. Today, they run the place with a passion that's infectious.
On site, you can return to your accommodation from 5pm, but the estate and activities open at 1:30pm. On the program: accrobranche, bike rental, electric scooter, mini-golf, outdoor games and romantic horse-drawn carriage rides. A total of 63 hectares of greenery dedicated to green tourism, relaxation and discovery. Here's a map of the park to help you find your way around.
There are 13 unusual accommodations: 9 cabins perched high up, 2 yurts of Mongolian origin and 2 bubbles suspended in the trees. Depending on your choice, you'll enjoy the following amenities: queen-size bed, fully-equipped kitchen, private Nordic bath, terrace, dry toilet and exceptional views of the surrounding flora and fauna. Here are the 4 units with private Nordic baths: Harris, Nessie, Clyde or Tweed.
Every morning, a breakfast basket is discreetly placed in front of your accommodation. On the menu: croissants, pain au chocolat, fresh bread, jam, butter and local apple juice. For the rest of the day, there are several options for dining in comfort: gourmet dinner on Friday or Saturday evenings by Michelin-starred Chef Nicolas Carro, 3-course jar menus with drinks included for reheating, and aperitif boards.
We recommend you try out the privatized wellness area. This is located out of sight and features a Nordic bath and a sauna. Both are made of wood and heated naturally using the estate's own resources. The space can be booked at 5 or 7 pm. Prices start at €40 for 1 hour.
Located in the Finistère countryside in northern Brittany, Domaine du Treuscoat is just ten minutes from the friendly town of Morlaix. Morlaix is well worth a visit: admire the viaduct and don't miss the Maison dite de la duchesse Anne. We also love Quimper, 1 hour's drive away, with its charming medieval streets. And last but not least, Roscoff and its charming port.
This blog already features over 350 romantic places in a rare collection. It could be a secret hotel, an unusual stay, or a cabin in the woods, for example. Everything is handcrafted.
