Le 215 Gambetta is a rare boutique-hotel located in Cavaillon, between the Massif des Alpilles and the Luberon, in the South of France. Valérie and Gilles welcome you with their lovely, lilting southern accents and a great deal of kindness. Keep this address for your next getaway. We love everything about it.

Our stay here
We had the opportunity to spend a night here and we'll almost certainly be back. What we liked best: the shaded outdoor terrace with the stone fountain, the authentic decor and the great value for money.
As soon as you walk through the large front door, you’re welcomed like old friends.
Valérie and Gilles genuinely take the time to chat with you (or give you some privacy if they sense that’s what you’d prefer, thanks to their sixth sense) and often offer a welcome drink: a mix of Melonade and Perrier on the rocks. It’s a typical regional aperitif made with melons.
Good to know: Valérie and Gilles may be absent, in which case you'll receive an access code for a completely independent arrival.
Built in 1830, the mansion was an authentic maison de maître at the time. It took almost 2 years to restore the entire building to its former glory. A titanic task. The result is a splendid house that makes you feel right at home. There are 1001 details to discover. And all the objects can be purchased if you wish.
In the early morning, enjoy your breakfast in the shady courtyard. It's the perfect setting: tasteful vintage crockery, antiques, beautiful objects, soft music and a relaxing fountain. On the menu: croissants, pain au chocolat, brioche, baguette, local jam, honey, melon of course, eggs like grandma's, cheese, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Depending on the room you choose, you will have the following amenities: king-size bed, private bathroom with freestanding bathtub or shower, balcony, XXL Smart TV, complimentary toiletries, and air conditioning.
We particularly love the clawfoot bathtubs in the bedrooms and Suite 4. However, even though Suite 3 doesn't have one, it has another advantage: its balcony!
A pied-à-terre in Cavaillon
The 215 Gambetta is located just 30 minutes from Avignon, in Provence, in the heart of the historic village of Cavaillon, world-famous for its divine melon. Every year, in early July, the town organizes the Feria du Melon. Numerous events take place in the streets and restaurants, with tastings and Camargue horse parades.
It's the perfect base for visiting the surrounding villages. You're less than 30 minutes from Bonnieux, a romantic Provencal village perched on a cliffside. Admire the beautiful 17th-century residences, and from the church tower square, gaze at the centuries-old cedars and lavender plains below.
Another village we love in the area: Eygalières. Pure love at first sight. It's the picture postcard image of Provence. Take the wild road through Orgon. Another world. Bulls can sometimes be seen. In Eygalières, eat at Chez Paulette.
Looking for a closer restaurant? We loved Sous le Cagnard, just a few minutes' drive away. Magnificent terrace surrounded by mountains, very friendly service and inventive cuisine. It used to be a well-known pétanque ground in the region. In the evenings, the many strings of lights create a truly pleasant atmosphere.
