The arrival
The hotel is accessible by a vintage funicular dating from 1907, which is located right next to the hotel. The funicular makes round trips every half hour.
Anne-Pierre runs the hotel with great care and passion. Your well-being is the priority here, and all the staff are responsive, professional, and welcoming. The team speaks several languages: German, French, Italian, English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Great importance is also placed on respecting the environment. In 2010, the hotel was designated the first energy-positive company in the Swiss Alps.

The restaurants
For your meals, head to the hotel's elegant, rustic-style panoramic restaurant. It's like being in a log cabin. Don't miss the pike perch with white wine velouté, mashed potatoes with Brazil nuts and sweet and sour Delica pumpkin. A real delight!
Discover the second restaurant: Scatla or "Pront' a manger", which means "ready to eat" in Rhaeto-Romanic. With its cubic design of wood and glass, it offers a complete contrast to the rest of the more traditional hotel. Here, food is self-service and focused on light snacks.
The terrace
When the weather's beautiful, discover the hotel's splendid terrace, boasting views over the Upper Engadine lake plateau. It features three distinct areas: an extension of the panoramic restaurant, an extension of the Scatla restaurant, and a cozy lounge space perfect for enjoying a drink under the Alpine sun.

The hotel is located between Samedan and Pontresina, Switzerland. The Engadine is a high valley in the Swiss Alps in the southeastern canton of Graubünden, close to the borders with Austria and Italy. It is also the perfect place to start and end your trip on the Glacier Express, the impressive train connecting St. Moritz to Zermatt via Chur, Disentis, Andermatt and Brig.
