For the record, zollhaus is a German word for a toll booth or customs house, depending on the language. In 1844, on the Nydeggbrücke bridge, the customs officers Schuster and Kohli had the task of collecting taxes from all those wishing to cross the bridge and enter the old town. Since the abolition of these taxes in 1853, and after several tenants, the toll house at the southeast end of the bridge now houses the suite.
