History
The past of Le Chetzeron is fascinating: the owner, Sami Lamaa, had the ambitious idea of transforming a former gondola station into a 4* hotel with a sleek design. Take a look at this image to discover the Chetzeron's first life. See the opening on the right through which the gondolas pass? Today it's the large bay window of the hotel's imposing lobby.
High altitude refuge
The hotel's location is unique in Europe: you're at an altitude of 2112 meters, above the last larch trees, facing the highest peaks in the Alps. The show goes on all year round. In spring, for example, you can see the first mountain flowers and buzzing bees. And in autumn, the larch trees gradually turn orange and set the landscape alight.
Please note that the hotel is only accessible on foot, by ski, gondola or Chetzeron vehicles. The climb is part of the change of scenery and must be organized in advance.
The rooms
There are just 16 rooms in the hotel and all offer views of the majestic peaks in the vicinity, including the Bishorn at 4151 meters and the Weisshorn at 4506 meters.

The rooms are an invitation to contemplate nature, in the heart of the mountains. The interior design is both refined and cocooning. You'll enjoy the following amenities: king-size bed, walk-in shower and/or bathtub, window seat, Smart TV, desk area, wifi connection, safe, minibar and hairdryer.
The spa
During the day, you have access to the 35°C heated swimming pool on the hotel roof (reserved for hotel guests only), as well as to the wellness area which includes sauna, hammam and massages on reservation.
The restaurant
In the evening, head to the hotel restaurant for a moment of pure pleasure. The Chef's cuisine is inspired by traditional Alpine recipes, with subtle contemporary touches, while highlighting Valais terroir and slow food.
Breakfast
Every morning, breakfast is served in the majestic main hall between 8 and 10 am. Breakfast is included in your reservation. Almost everything is homemade, including breads, pastries, jams, spreads and granola. Don't hesitate to ask the cook to whip up a nice omelet or pancake.
Location
Le Chetzeron is located in Crans Montana, in the south of Switzerland. The Valais resort was built on the canton's most beautiful sunny balcony, in a setting of lakes and fir trees reminiscent of Sweden. There are 140 km of marked trails for all levels! If you love nature, we recommend exploring the Aminona region, a true wilderness paradise.

Yes, and you're spoilt for choice when it comes to relaxing! If the weather is fine, you can relax by the outdoor pool and read a good book. Otherwise, head to the heart of the hotel, to the wellness area with sauna and hammam.
Le Chetzeron is located in the mountains and is not accessible by car. In winter, reach the hotel on skis or on foot, or take the hotel's snowcat. In summer, come on foot, by bike or aboard the hotel's 4×4.
