The Cambrian is a fantastic haven of peace in the heart of the Swiss Alps, in the village of Adelboden, south of Bern. The 71 rooms and suites were renovated between 2018 and 2022 by 2 extremely talented Dutch designers: Johan Bouman and Jeroen Wand. The interior design is modern, cocooning and very pleasant.

The restaurant
For your meals, visit Bryn Williams at the Cambrian. The chef and his student Will Gordon use only the finest local produce. These come from the surrounding mountains, farms, lakes and rivers. The dishes are inspired by the 2 chefs' homelands: the UK, particularly London and Wales. Try the simmered egg with parmesan, mushrooms and Pata Negra: a delight!
L'Axe Bar
In the evening, you can also grab a bite to eat or a drink at the Axe Bar. The food is wholesome and the bar well-equipped. A fine selection of local beers and wines. Here you can enjoy a quiet read, or recount your skiing exploits. There's a winter garden with breathtaking views and a sunny terrace. Make yourself comfortable in your armchair by the fireplace in winter, or soak up the sun in summer!
The spa
During the day, relax at the spa and release all your tensions. Among the areas at your disposal: indoor and outdoor heated pools, sauna, steam room, gym, relaxation area and massages. Beware of over-relaxation, you might just forget about dinner! The view from the outdoor pool is breathtaking.
Location
With 72 lifts and 210 km of pistes, Adelboden-Lenk is one of Switzerland's most extensive ski areas. The hotel is located right next to the lifts. You can also try your hand at snowboarding or tobogganing. All the sports stores in the vicinity rent quality equipment. In summer, there's plenty to do: hiking, cycling, scootering, paragliding or swimming in the nearby lakes.
