Bachleda Luxury Hotel is a flamboyant Hotel 5* located in Krakow, Poland, just a few meters from the romantic Vistula River. The Market Square and Wawel Castle are just a 10-minute walk away. It's a real luxury hotel, just like in the movies, with a magnificent golden spa and a bewitching bar. And we found the price very affordable.

Our stay
We had the opportunity to spend 2 nights here, while testing out other hotels in Krakow. It's clearly one of our favorites. What we liked best: the welcome drink, the very strategic location, the soundproofing in the rooms, the Art Deco-style interior decoration and overall the very good feeling.
A richly decorated interior
The hotel's interior is richly decorated, with great attention to detail. There are many nods to Krakow's history: magnificent marble mosaics, gilded ornaments, crystal chandeliers and beautiful fireplaces. The lobby is clearly the most beautiful room in the hotel, and it's an absolute pleasure to settle in for a drink. Fresh flowers and good perfume.
The rooms
The hotel has 64 rooms and 3 suites with a refined style inspired by London chic and Parisian elegance. Here are some of our favorite rooms:
1 • Deluxe Double Room • Photo • 🪞
2 • Junior Suite • Photo • ✨
3 • Executive Suite • Photo • 🛀
Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: king-size anti-allergy bed with divine comfort, private bathroom with shower and/or bathtub, welcome products, minibar, Nespresso coffee machine and plush carpeting on the floor.
A word of advice when booking: ask for a room on the patio rather than the street side, as these are the quietest. For added peace and quiet, also specify that you would like a room on a high floor, away from the elevator.
The golden spa
During your stay, you absolutely must try out the wellness area in the basement. It includes a bubble pool, sauna, hammam and relaxation area. We tried it out and never wanted to leave... It's a little paradise. Be warned, though: it's a small place, and it gets crowded very quickly during the day. Get up as early as you can to enjoy it in complete privacy. It's open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
What we also liked
1. Breakfast with a huge selection (try the delicious crepes...)
2. The gourmet restaurant Gavi and its very romantic setting
3. The flower-filled patio when the weather is nice
4. The Opus bar tucked away in the basement (enchanting atmosphere, live music, and signature cocktails)
5. The staff, who are generally very professional and attentive
6. Check-in available as early as 2 PM and check-out until 12 PM
Our tip: Whether you're at the restaurant, the spa, the bar, or breakfast, we always recommend going as soon as they open. It's always the best option: you avoid the crowds, you can choose your table, and the staff can focus their attention on you.
Location
The hotel is ideally located in Krakow, slightly away from the historic center. Walk 10 minutes along the river to reach Wawel Castle. Don't miss the Wawel dragon (at the foot of the castle), which spits fire every 5 minutes. Our favorite nearby? The Jewish quarter of Kazimierz, where Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List was filmed. Bohemian, intense and exciting.
