Our two nights here
We had the opportunity to spend 2 nights here, while testing out other hotels in Krakow. It's clearly one of our favorites. We loved practically everything about it, including the marble bathroom with underfloor heating, the highly efficient chambermaids, the intricate lighting, the hyper-exclusive spa and an exceptional breakfast that wasn't limited to the sweet stuff.
An ancient palace
The first references to the 4 buildings that make up the hotel date back to the 16th century. Originally, these buildings housed a stable, a bakery, a soap factory and a brewery. Later, they merged and were transformed into a palace. In the second half of the 19th century, the palace became the property of the Lubomirski family. Its current appearance is due to a reconstruction carried out in 1873-1874 at the request of Princess Lubomirska.
In 2016 and 2020, the building underwent a major renovation, adding new sections and becoming the 5-star hotel it is today. The Baroque stuccowork has been preserved and adorns the impressive lobby.
The rooms
There are 70 rooms and apartments spread over several floors. Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: king-size bedding, private marble bathroom with shower and/or bathtub, high ceilings, a host of thoughtful touches, sophisticated lighting, coffee machine with capsules provided and ironing board with iron.
Here are a few of our favorite rooms:

2 • Deluxe Room • Photo • ☁️
3 • Suite • Photo • 🐯
4 • Luxury Suite • Photo • 🪞
5 • Royal Suite • Photo • 🖼️
6 • Presidential Suite • Photo • 👑
If you're planning a surprise, we recommend reserving the very special Suite Royale. The interior décor is unique: historic furniture, Dutch cupboards, French fireplace, numerous allegorical paintings and a fresco on the ceiling. The latter was discovered during the hotel's last restoration and probably dates from the 18th century. Lenny Kravitz chose this suite during his stay in Krakow in 2024... Check out the post on Instagram.
Our advice: always ask for a room on the highest floor possible, away from the elevator, if possible with a nice view. Specify that you don't want a room on the first floor, as the reception is very close and it can be noisy.
Breakfast
In the morning, a very generous breakfast is served in the beautiful dining room. It was the best breakfast we had during our stay in Krakow... Nothing to complain about. Special mention goes to the individually bottled fruit juices. Our salmon eggs Benedict were delicious. There are also many local specialties to try.
Our favorite spa in Krakow
During the day, slip on your bathrobe and take a trip to the spa... The most beautiful we tested during our stay. We'd advise you to go as early as possible, as it's quite small. But the stone walls and high ceilings give it a real charm. On the program: sauna, hammam, extremely pleasant jacuzzi (we spent 1 hour there...) and heated swimming pool. There are a few deckchairs with plugs. Top of the top.
A rare cuisine between Poland and Europe
In the evening, head to the Artesse gourmet restaurant, recommended by the Michelin Guide. A highly original tasting menu based on reconstituted cuisine inspired by hundreds of years of Polish and European recipes. The restaurant is located in the courtyard of the former Lubomirski Palace, while the exotic plants adorning the interior realize the dream of Princess Czartoryska, the palace's former owner, to create an orangery.
Location
H15 Palace Hotel is ideally located on a quiet Krakow street, right next to the Czartoryski Museum (don't miss Leonardo da Vinci's Lady with an Ermine) and a 20-minute walk from the main train station. You're also 2 min walk from Rynek Główny, the city's central square. This is one of the largest medieval squares in Europe. Every hour, a trumpeter sounds a bugle call from the north tower of St. Mary's Church.
