PURO Kraków Kazimierz is a contemporary, high-quality 4* hotel located in the Kazimierz district of Kraków, Poland. Wawel Castle is just a 20-minute walk away. We bet you'll love this place, especially if you like design, technology and Scandinavian-inspired decor.
Reservation
We recommend that you book your stay at PURO Kraków Kazimierz via Booking.com, which often offers free cancellation. Send us a message on Instagram if you go, it would make us super happy.
Our stay
We had the opportunity to test this hotel during our stay in Krakow. We liked practically everything about it. What we liked best: the attention to detail, the welcome chocolates, the quality of the bedding and the free bikes.
The rooms
The hotel offers 228 rooms, carefully designed by a London-based architectural firm. Here are a few rooms that we particularly like:
1 • Classic Room • Photo • 🛏️
2 • Classic Plus Room • Photo • ☁️
3 • Deluxe Room • Photo • ☀️
4 • Apartment • Photo • 🪿
5 • Executive Apartment • Photo • 🛀
Depending on the room you choose, you'll enjoy the following amenities: Hilding bedding for a real baby's night's sleep, soft pillows, comfortable headboard, private bathroom with walk-in shower, Smart TV, Marshall speakers and Nespresso coffee machine.
You've got a well-designed touchscreen tablet that lets you control the temperature and lights, order food and even check out. It's the best home automation system we've had the chance to test on Let's Go My Love, along with perhaps that of the Paris J'adore in Paris.
Our advice when booking:
1. Leave a comment during the booking process and specify that you are celebrating a special occasion
2. The hotel is located opposite a railway line, so the rooms at the front may be noisier. If this is a problem for you, ask for a room at the back, which is quieter.
3. Ask for a room with an unobstructed view and, if possible, away from the elevator (these are the best)
4. Don't hesitate to specify your pillow preferences: soft or firm
5. Remember that hotels operate according to the same rules as life in general: you only get what you ask for and what you negotiate. And those who ask for nothing often get the least.
Breakfast
Every morning, a delicious breakfast is served in the restaurant: Halicka Eatery & Bar. It is far superior to anything else you can find in Krakow. There is a wide selection and high-quality products. The croissants in particular are on par with those in Paris!
The little detail that makes all the difference: the hotel has its own bakery (Mak) with bread oven. Baguettes, bread, challah and seasonal desserts await you every day of the week.
The ultra-modern spa
During the day, we strongly recommend you visit the hotel's basement spa: Prisma. On the program: massages, hammam, sauna and Pilates sessions. Open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the evening. A true moment of relaxation. Go as early as possible to avoid the crowds.
What we also like
1. The small garden in the atrium in fine weather
2. Garlands of lights hanging in the atrium (see photo #2 above)
3. A self-service coffee machine available all day long in a dedicated corner with takeaway cups (tea and milk are also available).
4. Complimentary bicycles for exploring the city
5. The friendly staff, who always try to exceed expectations.
6. Gym with top-of-the-range equipment
7. Free yoga classes on Saturday mornings with very friendly teacher
8. The fact that they respond to ALL online reviews with a lot of class (always a good sign)
Location
PURO Kraków Kazimierz is located slightly away from the center of Kraków, just 10 min by streetcar from the Market Square: Rynek Główny. The nearest streetcar stop is a 2-minute walk away. A city with a thousand years of history, it's brimming with works of art, historical memorabilia and medieval-style alleyways.
Finally, we've put together a selection of 3 secret gardens to discover in the area. These lush oases don't appear on any map and are sometimes hard to find: the garden of an old mansion, a backyard or the hidden terrace of a restaurant.
Our 3 secret gardens :
1. Józef Mehoffer's House: this former home of the Polish painter is a discreet annex to the museum, rarely visited by tourists. However, behind the house lies a breathtaking garden. It features a wide variety of plants, white metal chairs, gravel paths, and a majestic oak tree. The garden is part of the Meho Café, where you can enjoy a drink. Address: Krupnicza 26.
2. Krakowskie Zakąski: the street itself is nothing special... Except this place. Hidden away at the back of an old building, a small patch of greenery shelters this tiny bar, renowned for its incredible selection of whiskies. We love the outdoor terrace: a stone wall, lots of flowers, colorful hammocks and evening lanterns. An unsuspected oasis. Address: Sławkowska 16.
3. Klub Re: one of Krakow's oldest clubs, housed in medieval cellars. The garden is incredible: very large, huge century-old trees and climbing ivy. Sit here around noon to listen to the Hejnał Mariacki, the famous melody played every hour from the highest tower of St. Mary's Basilica. Address: Świętego Krzyża 4 (near Market Square)
