A story filled with magic
Szczepańska Street, where the hotel is located, has a fascinating history. In the 13th century, one of the subjects of study at the Jagiellonian University located here was witchcraft. Famous magicians and astrologers, such as Paracelsus and even Doctor Faust himself, frequented it. The Hotel Stary building itself was adapted from a ruined 14th-century building. Many historical details have been preserved with particular care.

One of the hotel's must-see attractions is its underground spa! The setting is unique in Poland: under stone vaults, in a subdued atmosphere, with a few candles and the reflection of water. There are 2 jet pools, a sauna, a hammam, a salt grotto, a gym and numerous treatments and massages.
A rooftop with breathtaking views
The Hotel Stary's second treasure is its rooftop, which offers a superb panoramic view of the Basilica of Saint Mary. Nestled on the 6th floor, the Sky Bar offers an intimate, luxurious setting for iconic cocktails and a delicious aperitif for lovers. We recommend you try the Killer. It's a blend of Disaronno, Campari, passion fruit liqueur and lemon juice.

The latter is home to an underground museum, opened after archaeological excavations. Discover the remains of the city dating from the 12th-13th centuries hidden beneath your feet!
There are many restaurants nearby, including Cyrano de Bergerac, which offers the best of French cuisine in a cosy, intimate atmosphere. Don't let the façade fool you: as soon as you step inside, you're in another world!
