The Warszauer Hotel is a 4* mineral boutique hotel located in the kazimierz district of Krakow, Poland. It's one of our favorite hotels in the historic center. The materials are of the highest quality, the interior design is very well thought-out, and what can we say about the breakfast? Simply exceptional!
Reservation
We recommend that you book your stay at the Warszauer Hotel via Booking.com, which often offers free cancellation. Send us a message on Instagram if you go, it would make us super happy.
Our stay
We had the opportunity to spend a night here during our stay in Krakow. Of all the hotels we tested, this one is unquestionably in our top 3. Many of the hotels here are sometimes unintentionally too extreme: too kitschy, too downmarket or too luxurious, for example. This one is much more balanced, and the attention to detail is quite impressive.
The rooms
There are only 10 rooms available. Depending on your choice, you will have access to the following amenities: queen or king size beds, private bathrooms, Diptyque toiletries (the best of the best!), invigorating rain showers, high-quality designer furniture, excellent soundproofing, and air conditioning.
Here are a few of our favorite rooms:
1 • Petite Deluxe • Photo • 🏞️
2 • Deluxe with Terrace • Photo • ☘️
3 • Deluxe Apartment • Photo • 🛋️
4 • Junior Suite with Terrace • Photo • 🌳
5 • Penthouse • Photo • ☀️
A mineral style
The hotel's interior design is minimalist, minimalist, and absolutely charming. Many works by Polish artist Tomasz Opaliński are on display, both in the rooms and in the dining room. Take note of the Zig Zag or Wassily chairs (one of the 10 most important chairs of the 20th century) in your room. We also love the armchairs by Danish brand Gubi.
The dining room is undoubtedly the room where you feel most at home. It's a pleasure to take a break here, lulled by an excellent musical playlist. The program includes a large communal wooden table, subtle lighting, magazines to browse through, homemade cake all day long and an unlimited coffee machine. You can make your own coffee to take away.
Breakfast
In the morning, this is where you can enjoy an à la carte breakfast. And what a breakfast it is! Without a doubt, the best of our stay in Krakow. Everything is so delicious, fresh, and prepared with love. It's almost embarrassing for other hotels. Please note, this is not a buffet: you choose what you want from the menu, and Kasia will often bring your order to your table.
On the menu: squeezed orange juice, eggs benedict, local sausages, seasonal omelette, vegetarian plate, homemade porridge, pancakes, scrambled eggs on toast, shakshuka and a fabulous pistachio croissant. We tried the homemade porridge and the vegetarian plate... Divine!
Location
The Warszauer Hotel is located on a very quiet street in Kazimierz, Krakow's Jewish quarter. The facade is an immediate eye-catcher, as is the enchanting front door. Take the time to explore the surrounding area, which is rich in history. If you fancy a drink, we have a soft spot for this very secret bar just a 5-minute walk away: Eszeweria. The eclectic atmosphere is worthy of a storybook. Here's a photo to whet your appetite...
