Such a warm and welcoming hotel
This is the last hotel of our 15-day stay in the Dolomites. It’s also the least expensive hotel we stayed at. But the welcome was the warmest, most positive, and most genuine.
It’s a place with a really great vibe. There are quiet, sincere smiles. Nothing feels forced or contrived. You feel like you’re among friends in a big family home.
Judith is the owner; she runs the business with her family. A certified sommelier, she is always delighted to share her passion for South Tyrolean wines.
The hotel is named after the Rosengarten mountain range, meaning "Rose Garden." Legend has it that Laurin, the king of the dwarves, owns a rose garden there that he turned to stone. At sunset, the rock faces glow a spectacular red (known as the Enrosadira), as if the roses were coming back to life.
During your stay, we highly recommend checking out the wellness area, which features two saunas and a panoramic view. If the weather is nice, why not enjoy a cup of tea on the terrace in the forest?
The rooms
Here are the rooms and suites:

2 • Cozy Room • Photo • Photo
3 • Cozy Plus Room • Photo • Photo
4 • The Suite • Photo • Photo
Depending on the room you choose, you will have the following amenities: a double bed, a balcony with a view of the mountains or the garden, hardwood floors, pine furniture, a bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer, and a safe.
The 13 rooms are peaceful retreats: no TV, no Wi-Fi. Instead, step out onto your balcony to admire the view of the Latemar and Rosengarten mountain ranges or of Welschnofen. A true mountain setting.
The wood used for the decor is local Swiss stone pine. This wood isn't just aesthetically pleasing: it has been scientifically proven that its scent lowers the heart rate and significantly improves sleep quality.
Our tip: When you make your reservation, ask for a room as far away as possible from the stairs and the elevator. Those are the quietest and most pleasant rooms.
The restaurant
We love this restaurant! The food is so simple and so good. Be sure to reserve a table by the fireplace.
Something new every day—that’s been the motto since 1999, when Horst, the head of the family, took over the kitchen. And that’s still the case today, even though Veronika is now at the helm.
Everything is homemade, of course. Most of the ingredients come from the Eggental Valley. In the summer, the produce goes straight from the garden, the fields, or the fruit trees to the table, accompanied by water and wine from local winemakers.
Every morning, the breakfast buffet features a new selection. Our most popular items are always available, of course, but everything else is prepared overnight. On the menu: homemade muesli, fresh fruit juice, comforting organic teas, and delicious local cold cuts, farm-fresh cheeses and eggs, honey from the estate’s bees, and delicious spreads.
And for dinner: pepper soup, spelt salad, homemade pasta, braised lamb… and homemade white chocolate ice cream! It’s sure to delight your taste buds.

The hotel is located in a charming and peaceful setting at the top of the village, offering a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. There is a small parking lot right in front of the entrance. Please note that the walk up to the hotel is quite steep.

The view of the Sciliar and the Catinaccio is extraordinary. The trail starts in a peaceful alpine forest and ends in open mountain pastures. Everything is very well marked.
