The Hotel Pilatus-Kulm is a 4* mountain hotel perched at 2000 meters above sea level, near Lucerne, Switzerland. The 360° view over the lake and the Swiss Alps is fantastic. You feel as close as possible to the stars. What a pleasure to contemplate the sunrise from your bed, to get up very early and watch the ibex.

How to get to the hotel
You have 2 options for getting there:
1. From the village of Alpnachstad, you can climb the mountain on the world's steepest cogwheel railway. The climb takes around 30 minutes and offers exceptional views of the surrounding forests, meadows and lakes.
2. From the town of Kriens, take the panoramic gondola to the Fräkmüntegg station in 30 minutes, then finish your ascent with the "Dragon Ride" cable car in just a few minutes.

The restaurant
In the evening, head to the hotel's romantic restaurant with its typical Belle Époque atmosphere. There are 3 dining rooms (the Queen Victoria room is our favorite) and a magnificent sunny outdoor terrace that can accommodate up to 200 people at a time. Here again, the staff are at your service. Try the excellent hay soup and onion sausages.
