Our stay
We had the opportunity to spend two nights here and it was a real pleasure. What we liked best: the size of the estate, the charm of the cabins, the Nordic bath on the terrace, the spa surrounded by trees, the animals everywhere (horses, goats, etc.) and the truly lovely staff. We got up very early each day to enjoy the sunrise (our video on site).
On site, you can arrive between 3pm and 7pm. The reception is done in Dutch, French or English without any problem. Dogs are allowed in some cabins with an extra charge of 10€ per night.
The unusual cabins and chalets are spread across a 24-hectare wooded estate. Click on this image to see the park map.
There is no wifi in the area. Here, the goal is really to get back to simple activities. It's the perfect place to take long walks, make a nice breakfast or drink a cappuccino by the wood stove. If the weather is nice, you also have everything you need for a barbecue!
The cabins
Here are a few of our favorite cabins:
1 • Sweet Cabin • Photo • Photo
2 • TreeTop • Photo • Photo
3 • Hobbit House 2 • Photo • Photo
4 • Tree House 1 • Photo • Photo
Each cabin has all the comforts of home, including living room, dining room, bathroom with shower, fully-equipped kitchenette and covered terrace. Bed linen is provided, so you don't need to bring your own. If you want to cook, the kitchen is well equipped. Barbecue facilities are also available on the terrace.
Some cabins have a Nordic bath or sauna, so be sure to check before booking.
There are also five cozy houses: these could be hobbit houses like in The Lord of the Rings or tree houses. They are slightly larger and more luxurious than the cabins, but also a little more expensive. Enjoy ultimate relaxation in these fairytale cottages in the heart of the forest.
Dining options
For all your meals on site, the Brasserie de Warre welcomes you every day of the week. It offers classic, timeless cuisine, including croquettes, steaks, and fries. Enjoy the beautiful view of the vineyard and the outdoor terrace in summer.
And there are some extras:
- Classic breakfast basket (€36 for 2)
- Deluxe breakfast basket (€54 for 2)
- Barbecue package (€54 for 2)
- Pasta box with Bolognese, carbonara, or veggie sauce (€52 for 2)
A property surrounded by nature
Warredal is located in Limburg, Belgium, close to the Hoge Kempen National Park and the Bergerven Nature Reserve. There are also many activities to enjoy on site: an indoor and outdoor adventure park, mini golf, the De Warre Brewery for refreshments, a vineyard, and numerous walking trails. It's impossible to get bored here.
The border with the Netherlands is only a 20-minute drive away. The Hoge Kempen park is particularly recommended for a long walk: 12,000 hectares, vast pine forests, large lakes, and many rare species of animals. A little natural gem!
