Once you arrive, Alison and her husband, the owners, will give you a warm welcome and go out of their way to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible. Everything is designed with your peace of mind in mind and is based on four core values: authenticity, simplicity, warmth, and naturalness.

Alison, a former sales representative and mother of three, understands that taking care of oneself is a necessity, not a luxury. It was this deep conviction that inspired her to create l'Annexe Douceur, a wellness retreat designed to offer everyone a true respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life, where they can recharge.

We love the purity of the interior design, the subdued atmosphere and the combination of warm, raw materials, such as imitation concrete with exotic wood.

Depending on the room you choose, you’ll enjoy the following amenities: a jacuzzi, a combined infrared sauna, a king-size bed with natural linen sheets, a hydromassage shower, and a private terrace overlooking the garden. The bath linens are made of 100% natural, organic cotton, and the bath products are from the Belgian brand Formy Cosmetics, which uses almost exclusively healthy, natural ingredients.

You can also enhance your stay with a sophrology session (€40/hour for two), a yoga session (€35/hour for two), or a personalized beauty treatment (starting at €60/hour per person).

The appetizer platter with drinks

When making your reservation, we strongly recommend ordering an appetizer platter. These platters are prepared using fresh, seasonal ingredients. The cheeses (and cold cuts) come from a local cheesemonger, the bread is homemade, and the fruits and vegetables are sourced from the excellent Ferme du Maustitchi in Fontaine-L’Évêque.

Drinks can be ordered throughout your stay: soft drinks, beer, cocktails, coffee, tea, cappuccino, Prosecco, Champagne, red wine, white wine, and rosé wine.

Just outside Charleroi

L'Annexe Douceur located in the heart of Fontaine-L’Évêque, a 15-minute drive from Charleroi and 1 hour from Brussels. Subject to availability, Alisson can provide you with a private parking space for an additional €10.

If you’d like to take a stroll in the area, we recommend exploring the ruins of Aulne Abbey, just a 20-minute drive away. Founded in the 7th century, this Cistercian abbey stood the test of time until it was destroyed in 1794 during the French Revolution. Today, its impressive ruins stand amidst lush vegetation.
